| Thank you for visiting the Pathways Local Management Entity
(LME) website. Pathways is the area mental health, developmental disabilities and
substance abuse authority for Gaston, Lincoln and Cleveland Counties. As an LME, Pathways
is responsible for overseeing and managing a system of care for consumers and their
families. Pathways contracts with many public and private, high quality, outcome based,
providers throughout the area to deliver care to those who need it. |

| Much has changed in recent years with the system of mental
health developmental disabilities and substance abuse care. Legislation and rules at the
state level have dramatically changed who, where and what services are available to
consumers. One of Pathways' objectives is to assist the community with those changes and
advocate for other needed changes. |

members, providers and other interested members of the community access valuable
information about the mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse
