The
Consumer Family Advisory Committee (CFAC) is a volunteer group that represents consumers
of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse services and family
members of those consumers.
What
Exactly Does The CFAC Do?
The
CFAC works on behalf of consumers and families served by Pathways and the provider
network. It advises Pathways on all issues related to the needs of consumers and families,
including the development and monitoring of services. The Chairman of the CFAC serves on
the Pathways Board of Directors and makes sure that the views of consumers and families
are represented. CFAC meets regularly to help
review issues related to mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance abuse
services in Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland Counties. The group also works with Pathways to
ensure consumers and families receive the best services available.
Although CFAC advocates for consumers and families with issues on a system-wide level,
consumers or family members with specific concerns can call the Pathways Concern and
Complaint line at 1-800-646-4518.
When
Does CFAC Meet?
The
Consumer Family Advisory Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month (except July and
December). The meeting place rotates counties and the meetings are open to the public.
